Editing Job Properties and Job Definitions

Once a job definition is created, you can later edit the settings of that job definition. You cannot edit the definition of a job that is currently running.

Note: You cannot edit a job definition to change the source datasource. If you want to process documents from another datasource, you must create another job definition.

If you only need to edit the Auto Start settings or the email notification setting of one or more jobs, do the following:

  1. In the Bentley iCS for PDF Browser :
    • Right-click the Job Definitions folder and select Display Stored Jobs List.
    • In the Stored Jobs window, select one or more job definitions and select Edit > Properties.

The selected job opens in the Job Properties window.

To edit any detail of the job, you must open the job definition in the Job Builder dialog:

  1. In the Bentley iCS for PDF Browser :
    • Right-click a job definition and select Edit.

      or

    • Right-click the Job Definitions folder and select Display Stored Jobs List, then in the Stored Jobs window, select a job definition and select Edit > Job Builder.

The selected job definition opens in the Job Builder dialog.

  2. Edit the definition as needed.

    For details, see:

  3. Click OK.
